He Said She Said: A Brief Bio He Said She Said is the best thing to come out of Brampton since the 410. Barely into high school, this indie act is as good at laying down THE ROCK as they are selling it. Three cute teens are nothing new, but these young ladies are busy earning their rightful title as The Future of Rock. Writing rattling guitar riffs, crushing drum grooves and anthemic songs, this trio serves up their hard driving tunes the way rock was meant to be presented, with a heaping helping of attitude and side order of blunt force trauma. Put plainly, He Said She Said play big loud rock tunes with big loud hooks. Their songwriting recipe is simple and effective. Take a big rock groove. Beat drums into submission. Sweeten with large chunks of Maiden inspired guitar riffs and bring to a boil. Katee (bass and vocals), Kayla (drums) and Faye (guitar) are 15, 15, and 16 years old, respectively. They came together on their own, aspiring to hang with the older local bands in Brampton's teeming indie rock scene. And in a little over a year and a half, He Said She Said have written, practiced and worked hard to become a gigging, MTV Canada-featured, professional recording act, chosen as Brampton's Best Rock Band in the summer of 2006. "We like a lot of of classic rock like Zeppelin and Ozzy and Guns & Roses... So it's pretty natural that every time we write a new song, it has to hit hard. We're always trying to write better and bigger songs, but one thing we figured out early was that we had something to say, and as long as we were tighter and heavier than the next band, people would listen. "- Katee, bass and vocals "We write about how we feel and what we're going through. Sometimes we write about what our friends have experienced. The world is a pretty messed up place and songs help you to sort it out. Why are we here, why do we kill each other, what else is out there... They aren't new questions. We just put them to music."- Faye, guitar "There is nothing like making music. This is what we love to do. After school I practice. When I'm done practicing I call up Katee and Fay and we jam, working out the tunes. When the weekend comes we either gig or head into the studio to record a new track.
